Dr. Matthew Drescher has been practicing dentistry for over 13 years and has called Illinois home since 2012. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Iowa and expanded his clinical experience through an externship at Aarhus University School of Dentistry in Denmark in 2011.
Professional Experience and Leadership
Dr. Drescher is an active member of the dental community and currently serves on the board of the Chicago Dental Society’s West Suburban Branch, where he held the role of Branch President from 2024 to 2025. He is also a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and the Illinois State Dental Society (ISDS). Known for his approachable and thorough care, Dr. Drescher helps patients of all ages feel at ease and is passionate about creating healthy, confident smiles. His commitment to ongoing education includes extensive training in implant restorative and cosmetic dentistry.
Life Outside the Office
When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Drescher enjoys woodworking and often builds custom furniture for his home. He’s an avid hockey fan and plays on a club team with his brother. Dr. Drescher lives in Bolingbrook with his wife and their two daughters, Madison and Mollie, and together they love traveling and exploring new destinations.

What made you want to become a dentist?
I was inspired by my uncle, who is a dentist, and I’ve always been drawn to the unique blend of art and science that dentistry offers. It’s a field where I can use both technical skill and creativity to make a lasting impact on people’s lives.
What’s your favorite way to spend a day off?
I enjoy spending quality time with my family, working in my woodshop on home projects or custom pieces for others. I also love playing hockey and traveling to new places whenever I get the chance.
What’s a fun fact about you that most people don’t know?
In 2011, I completed a dental externship in Denmark, where I lived and trained for a portion of the year. It was an incredible cultural and professional experience that broadened my perspective on dentistry.
